National Standardization Working Group of Product Design Documents based at Panda

On January 26, 2008, the establishment working conference of National Standardization Technical Committee was held in Beijing, setting forth the specific tasks of and progress requirements for the establishment of a standardization committee. Then the newly established Working Group for Product Design Documents of The National Technical Committee for Standardization of Technical Product Documents moved into Panda, making the Group the sole electronic information enterprise in Jiangsu province having attained such honor.

In 2008, a year crucial for the development of standardization cause, it is of great practical significance to speed up the establishment of the standardization committee. The National Standardization Technical Committee will play its role in implementing the strategy of standardized development, supporting the function of standardization in economic construction, finishing the task of formulating and revising national standards, and promoting the development of standardization.

In recent years, the Standardization Office under the Technology Section of the Group has been taking the lead in the industry in both specialized theory and practice. It has already achieved the standard adoption requirement for 2010 put forward by the National Standardization Technical Committee. The office has transacted 184 standards for product registration and adopted 164 of them, reporting an adoption ratio of 89%. In addition the company has participated in the compilation of “Information Safety Standards” and “General Terminal Standards” of the national Information Service System for Identifying Personal Location by Satellite, and submitted their texts for approval or revision. The section has also been given two projects the General Standards for Shortwave Single Sideband Communications Equipment and Transport Packing of Mobile Communications Equipment. . This was the first time in recent years for the Group to take the lead in formulating national standards. Additionally, the office also took part in the compilation of the teaching materials for standardization of electronic information industry and drew up Compilation Methods of Product Design. It subsequently became the reference book for the standardization work concerning personnel serving the electronic industry as well as a reference for evaluating the qualification and technical titles of these personnel, generating great industrial influence.

When making an application to National Standardization Technical Committee, the Technology Section actively and regularly communicated with relevant leaders of national, provincial and municipal quality and technical supervision administrations and finally brought in National Standardization Working Group of Product Design Documents, which was a fundamental breakthrough for the Group.
