Recently, the first Panda model of DVB-C bidirectional integrated LCD TV has been successfully developed and obtaining national “3C” certification (China Compulsory Certification).
The set has been jointly developed by Urban Transportation Technology Development Center of Panda and Panda Digital Set-top Box Technology Engineering Co Ltd. Based on the “True Color” complete set image processing plan which breaks through the limitation of “point” and starts from “plane”, the TV set integrates various video techniques and is equipped with double high definition input interfaces and a full high-definition LCD screen. This effectively solves the problems of large-screen LCD TV sets, such as glare pollution, streaking, poor picture detail, and realizing the perfect combination of the input-processing-output of high definition pictures. In complete conformity with the DVB-C/MPEG-2 standard for digital cable TV sets, it supports digital TV signals of both high definition and standard definition.
Compared with previous unidirectional integrated digital TV sets, the new DVB-C bidirectional integrated LCD TV set realizes a bidirectional interaction, which is its greatest advantage. The product has a built-in DVB-C bidirectional receiver and an integrated remote controller. In addition, the product also has a 10M/100M self-adapting Ethernet port which can support such functions as NIT (network information table) search, standard EPG (electronic program guide), SUBTITLE (caption), data-casting, stock information, real-time program ordering, mosaic television, e-mail receiving function, and easy human-machine interface.
Industry experts state that all-in-one digital cable TVs will lead the mainstream demand for flat-panel TVs in the coming years as receivers of “Viewing integration”. Compared with ordinary analogue TVs plus digital set-top boxes, all-in-one digital cable TVs can realize full-range digitization with high integration. It represents the best viewing development trend of digital cable TVs in the future. In addition, its built-in structure avoids messy wiring with space-saving and easy-to-use advantages.
